Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PawSnap: Pet AI Art — the mobile app and the website at pawsnap.app (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use PawSnap

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use PawSnap. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant PawSnap a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process the photo solely to provide the Service to you — i.e. to generate portraits, deliver them back to your device, store them temporarily as described in our Privacy Policy, and (if you order a print) hand them off to our print partner.

You confirm that you have all rights necessary to upload each photo, and that the photo:

• features your pet (or an animal you have permission to photograph);
• does not contain identifiable people without their consent;
• does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

3. Generated portraits

AI-generated portraits are creative, transformative reinterpretations of the photo you supplied. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may:

• save, share, and post your portraits on social media;
• print them for personal use, or order prints through the in-app store;
• use them as personal profile pictures.

You may not:

• resell or commercially redistribute generated portraits as stand-alone products (this includes selling unmodified outputs on print-on-demand platforms);
• use generated portraits to train competing AI models;
• imply that generated portraits are real photographs.

PawSnap retains no exclusive rights in your generated portraits, but the underlying models, styles, prompts, and brand are ours.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PawSnap to:

• upload images of humans without their explicit consent, especially minors;
• upload content that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful;
• circumvent quotas, rate limits, abuse prevention systems, or any access controls;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except where applicable law expressly permits;
• use the Service to build or train a competing product.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Payments, credits, and refunds

PawSnap uses a credit-based model. Each generated portrait, or each HD upscale of an existing portrait, consumes one credit from your balance. Credits do not represent unlimited usage; once depleted, you can either earn more (by watching a rewarded video ad), purchase a one-off credit, or subscribe.

5.1 Credit tiers — what each tier actually includes

This is the canonical list of what each PawSnap tier grants. We mention it here because Apple App Review Guideline 3.1.2 (and equivalent Google Play policies) require subscription benefits to be disclosed in the agreement that governs purchase, not only on the paywall.

“No carry-over” means that if your Monthly Pro tier has 30 credits remaining at the end of the 30-day cycle, those 30 credits are not added on top of the next 150 — your balance resets to 150 at the start of the new cycle. We do this so the price you pay maps cleanly to the inference cost we incur each month. There is no “unlimited” tier and we make no claim that any tier delivers unlimited portraits.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those platforms and governed by their refund policies. Purchases made directly (e.g. for physical prints) are processed by Stripe.

Digital credits are non-refundable once spent. Physical print orders may be refunded if defective or lost in transit — please contact support@pawsnap.app within 30 days of delivery.

5.2 Subscriptions, auto-renewal, and cancellation

PawSnap subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple via the App Store (or, where available, by Google via Google Play). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription will automatically renew at the price shown at purchase, and your payment method on file with the store will be charged. The renewal price and billing interval are disclosed on the in-app paywall before you confirm purchase.

You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period:

• iOS: tap Manage Subscription in the app, or go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → PawSnap → Cancel Subscription.
• Android (when available): open the Google Play Store → menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PawSnap → Cancel.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; partial-period refunds are not provided except where required by mandatory local law.

5.3 EU / UK consumers — right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract under Directive 2011/83/EU (or the UK equivalent). When you purchase digital content or a digital subscription in PawSnap, by tapping Subscribe / Buy credits and using your first generation or credit, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. The 14-day withdrawal right continues to apply, where required, to physical print orders that have not yet been shipped.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable mandatory law.

6. Service availability

We aim for the Service to be available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in advance.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERATED PORTRAITS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. PAWSNAP IS A NOVELTY/ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCT AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR ANY PROFESSIONAL, MEDICAL, OR DIAGNOSTIC PURPOSE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PAWSNAP BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) US$50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PawSnap and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if continued operation would be impractical, illegal, or unduly burdensome. Sections 2–4 and 7–11 survive termination.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Except where prohibited by mandatory local consumer law, any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will notify you in-app or by email (where applicable) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
